We would like to thank Linda Urban for allowing us to have brought Layla into our family. Layla was the mother to our Topper.  On Monday, March 3, 2008 we took Layla to the vet as she had flu symptoms.  The vet examined her and sent her home.  She did not improve over the next 48 hours and we returned to the vet with her.  She was admitted to the hospital and put on IV antibiotics and fluids.  At this time, the vet discovered she had pyometria, it appeared to be mild due to her bloodwork results.  By Saturday, it became apparent she was not improving and we opted to spay her to try and save her life.  In spite of all her care, we lost Layla on Sunday, March 9, 2008.  She is greatly missed.  She was a sweet dispositioned dog and just loved everyone and everyone loved her.  We mourn her loss as the great companion that she was.                                                                                                                  NKC Championship Points=50
